Package Tracking App

In the age of next-day delivery, customers expect complete transparency over their shipments. “Where is my package?” is now the single most common customer service query for any e-commerce or logistics company. A logistics-tech startup approached GrowwTech to design a mobile application that would give customers real-time visibility into their shipments, reduce “Where is my package?” support tickets, and create a modern, trustworthy brand experience.

 

The Challenge

The client was handling thousands of daily shipments but lacked a customer-facing tracking solution. The existing process required customers to visit a third-party carrier’s website, enter a tracking number manually, and interpret confusing status codes. The specific challenges were:

  • No branded, unified tracking experience – each carrier had a different interface
  • Customers had no proactive notifications – they had to check manually
  • Payment status (paid, pending, COD) was disconnected from delivery status
  • The support team was overwhelmed with tracking enquiries that could be self-served
  • No loyalty or incentive mechanism to encourage repeat usage

GrowwTech designed a comprehensive package tracking mobile application that consolidates all shipment information into a single, beautifully designed interface. The app provides real-time tracking, proactive status notifications, integrated payment management, and a loyalty bonus system — turning a utilitarian tracking tool into an engaging brand experience.

Key Features Delivered

  • Smart Home Screen: The home screen displays a chronological list of active and recent shipments, each with a visual status badge (Processing, In Transit, Out for Delivery, Delivered). Below, a “Bonuses” section highlights available rewards, encouraging repeat engagement and brand loyalty.

  • Real-Time Tracking Screen: A dedicated tracking view shows the package’s current location on a visual timeline, with completed checkpoints highlighted and estimated delivery time prominently displayed. Payment status (Paid, Pending, COD) is shown alongside, giving users complete shipment context in one view.

  • Integrated Checkout & Payment: For COD or outstanding payments, the app offers a streamlined checkout screen where users can select their preferred payment method (card, wallet, bank transfer) and complete the transaction without leaving the app.

  • Proactive Push Notifications: Every status change triggers an automatic push notification, ensuring customers are always informed without needing to open the app. This alone is projected to reduce “Where is my package?” support tickets significantly.
