The role
This is a role of real responsibility: you’re not just closing tickets, you’re setting the standard for how engineering is done at GrowwTech. The patterns you establish, the quality bar you hold in code review, and the way you mentor the junior and interns will compound over the entire life of the company. Where the founder owns the architecture and the money-critical logic, you own the delivery of everything built around it — turning rough ideas into tested, shipped, reliable software. On a young team, you are the difference between a codebase that scales cleanly and one that has to be torn up and rewritten in a year.
Experience: 0–2 years (strong freshers welcome) · Type: Full-time · Location: Remote in Ahmedabad, India
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Build user-facing features. Implement screens, forms, tables, and dashboards in React + TypeScript, working from clear designs and specs.
- Write backend code under guidance. Build Node.js endpoints and work with the database, with the mid-level developer reviewing your work and steering you toward better approaches.
- Own bugs and tests. Take responsibility for fixing bugs and writing tests for what you build, keeping quality high as you go.
- Grow your scope deliberately. Start with well-defined tasks; as you prove reliable, take on larger and more independent pieces of the product.
- Learn from every review. Treat code review as your fastest path to improvement. Absorb the patterns, ask why, and apply the feedback so each review needs fewer changes than the last.
- Communicate openly. Tell people when you’re stuck instead of silently struggling — asking well is a senior skill worth building early.
Must-have skills and experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React, plus basic Node.js.
- At least one project you can show us – internship work, a personal project, or a deployed app.
- Genuine eagerness to learn, the maturity to take feedback well, and the discipline to finish what you start.
- Clear communication – you raise blockers early rather than going quiet.
Nice to have
- A deployed side project, even a small one — we value shipped over perfect.
- Comfort with Git and a basic understanding of how databases work.
- Any exposure to REST APIs or to working inside a shared team codebase.
